“Jimmy said that he felt like a caged animal because of his contract with the studio, and he said he was willing to give up everything to go to Europe and feel free. He wanted life and love and not only a career. Although he was a very aggressive, ambitious actor, he was very sensitive, with beautiful feelings.” -Ursula Andress

“What the hell would she have in common with a poor farm boy? If it weren’t that I was up there on the screen, her and people like her wouldn’t give me the time of day” -James Dean about Ursula Andress
“Sometimes he would pick me up on his motorcycle at Marlon Brando’s. Marlon was engaged to Josianne and I would visit her there, and we would practice English together. But Marlon was very strange toward Jimmy, and very upset when he would arrive. Marlon would ask me, “What are you doing with this boy? Why do you go out with him?” -Ursula Andress

Ursula Andress
Casually dated James Dean in 1955, often attending premiers and other Hollywood parties together (including a “Bon Voyage” shin dig for Frank Sinatra). According to some, Andress was one of the people Dean had asked to join on what would be his final trip to the Salinas race on September 30, 1955. Their relationship never turned serious because she was in love with actor John Derek, whom she married in 1957. They divorced in 1966 and she later had a son with Harry Hamlin.
She is best known for her role in the first James Bond movie, Dr. No, defining the “Bond Girl” role as Honey Ryder. She continued acting, including a part in Clash of the Titans, though her appearances slowed as of the late 90’s. She is now 76 years old.

“We fight like cats and dogs—no, on second thought, like two monsters. But then we make up and it’s fun. Ursula doesn’t take any baloney from me, I don’t take any baloney from her. I guess it’s because we are both egotistical.”
